Programme Nepalese Dance Festival
We invite you to view Nepalese traditional, classic folk dances which represent diverse groups and religions which are distinctive in their beauty and individual character, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and vast skills of Nepalese artisans.
Nepali folk dance performed by Sadhana Kala Kendra has wonderful themes of love and courtship, everyday life, religious worship, happiness and sadness, and often a lot of good-natured teasing.
Dancers, both men and women, wear colorful, traditional Himalayan costumes with elaborated jewellry and hair ornaments.
Dances are performed in various groups and done barefoot, as leather is not been worn by most Hindus.
